CONSUME. I wanted to be a little more deliberate about my media consumption in 2025 instead of just mindlessly watching crap.

I have set myself the goal of watching 52 movies this year (one per week). I’ll also most likely get through a series or two as well. I will count long form documentaries as movies too as I am a slut for knowledge.

I am a bit behind as I haven’t really watched a movie a week up until now but I’ll catch up and post my poignant thoughts on each piece of cinema here.

Hunger games

January
I was sick at the start of the year and saw this advertised on Netflix (1, 2, 3 and the prequel) - so I rinsed them all in 2 days while I was drifting in and out of consciousness. I meaaan they aiiight, I got bored by the 3rd. The world is semi cool and I wouldn’t mind giving Jen a little forehead kiss but I’d never watch these again. The Prequel was dog shit too and just a money grab. Maybe if you were into the books growing up then these films are more appealing but not for me

Yellowstone all seasons

February
I enjoyed this a lot - made me want to become a cowboy. The little Native American women was so annoying, I wanted to kill her. The last season dropped off. Felt as if some Hollywood bullshit happened and they just needed to shit out the last season to close it off which was a shame as so much went on. I’d recommend this still though.

Captain America

March
Marvel have fallen off. After they pulled Time travel out for end game I gave up really but I am a little cuck for comics and super heroes so I couldn’t resist. But this film is genuinely awful, nothing happens. I am writing this a few weeks after watching it and if you held a gun to my Momma’s head and told me to tell you something that happened in the movie or you’d put a bullet in her skull I would simply look her deep in the eyes and tell her I loved her. Awful - do not watch.
